Aren't friends supposed to keep watch of one another? Only not true friends don't like having friends looking out for them, and only fake friends take advantage and spy on their supposed friends for their own benefit. Is there really true friendship here, or merely an alliance of/for common self-interests? Who's not the true friend, and who's the fake one?
Because most nations are only genuinely interested on their own national interests, conflicts among nations happen.
"From where do wars and fightings among you come? Don't they come from the self-interests that rage within you?" (James 4:1)
"You desire and do not have, so you murder. You covet and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have, because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to use it for your own selfish interests." (James 4:2-3)
